In the Spring of 2019, I traveled with a 4x5 camera to a series of organized meet-ups across Connecticut: crossword tournaments, auto swap-meets, town fairs, dance competitions, fishing conventions. I wanted to document the vital energy of these events, embodied by the proud grins and austere stances of participants bound by their shared interests.
